Description
Pioneering Swedish sound poet Åke Hodell, flanked by two unidentified women, in Stockholm, in April 1972. Born in 1919 and trained as a fighter pilot during World War II, Hodell, became interested in text-sound compositions while in the hospital recovering from a flight training accident. Both author and artist, Hodell’s works are often informed by a deep sense of antimilitarism and an avant-garde sensibility.
