Catherine Lamb is seen seated on the left and looking at a score with clarinetist Phil O’Connor standing behind and to the right of her. Catherine Lamb is a graduate of CalArts, where she studied with James Tenney, Michael Pisaro, and Stephen “Lucky” Mosko. She was a featured composer during the 14th Other Minds Festival where her “Dilations,” commissioned by Other Minds, received its world premiere. Phil O’Connor is a California based clarinetist who has performed with numerous West Coast ensembles many of which specialize in contemporary classical music. In addition Phil was, at the time of this photograph, a Professor at the Old Town Conservatory of Music in Pasadena.
