A half length portrait of Igor Stravinsky (left) with his wife Vera, and Carlos Chavez in the 1940s. This photograph was sent to composer Robert Hughes, by Chavez with a letter dated December, 1971. Hughes was a former composition student of Chavez, and a co-founder of the Cabrillo Music Festival, for which Chavez was director/conductor during the years 1970-1973.Genres & Subjects
