Description
Boston pianist Martha Anne Verbit, a native of Georgia, visits with Charles Amirkhanian, who plays a number of Verbit's recordings as well as excerpts from a recent performance Verbit gave at Alice Tully Hall in New York. They also discuss the matter of interpreting Gershwin, Antheil and other composers. Verbit feels that pianists are often better interpreters of pieces than the composers themselves are.Genres
