Description
Recorded in 1975, the University of Delaware Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. Peter J. McCarthy, performs William Duckworth’s “A Mass for These Forgotten Times.” In a brief interview that follows this work, Duckworth describes his intention to seamlessly blend traditional chants with more modern extended vocal techniques, and his general satisfaction with the composition. The actual performance was recorded at the University of Delaware, while the interview, with Charles Amirkhanian, was recorded at the New Music America Festival in June, 1980, in Minneapolis.
