Description
Selected works by George Cacioppo and Donald Scavarda, probably recorded at the 1961 and 1962 ONCE Festivals. The first work is a “String Trio” by George Cacioppo. This is followed by two works by Scavarda, “Groups For Piano” and “Matrix For Clarinetist,” featuring Robert Ashley on piano and John Morgan on clarinet. Both composers, as well as Ashley, were closely associated with the ONCE Group, a collection of composers, musicians, and artists who sought to provide a holistic approach to experimental art and design.
