George Craig Collection

AboutA collection of primarily analog audio recordings donated to Other Minds by Jennifer Craig upon the death of her husband George Craig. George Craig was, for several decades, the Chief Engineer of KPFA Radio. He also was a superb recording engineer, employing Naumann microphones, and four-channel Dolby reel-to-reel recordings long before that was commonly done. He maintained a personal archive of backup tapes and masters for safekeeping. These include world premiere performances by the Oakland Symphony, Cabrillo Music Festival and the San Francisco Chamber Music Society, among others.
