AboutA digital collection of videos produced by ROVA:Arts from 2005-2009. The Improv:21 events in this collection were a series of "informances" on twenty-first century music that explored the connection between predetermined structure (composition) and performer interpretation (improvisation). Led by master improvisers and composers from the Bay Area and beyond, and hosted by critic and KPFA radio host Derk Richardson. ROVA:Arts is the programming and administration division of the Rova Saxophone Quartet.
