Description
Percy Grainger at home, singing and playing organ. An unidentified rehearsal followed by two musical recordings then back to a rehearsal. Grainger plays several Norwegian folksongs from Edvard Grieg's Opus 17 including I Know A Little Maiden (Je Vet en Liten Gjente), The Suckling Pig (Grisen), Solfager and the Worm King (Solfager og Ormekongen) and Neils Tallefjoren (Niels Tallefjorden). Played December 31, 1950. There is accompaniment during "Sheep may Safely Graze", possibly by Ella Grainger (on vibraphone?).
