Conceptual artist Lawrence Weiner is interviewed by Charles Amirkhanian on his houseboat in Amsterdam on December 17, 1973. Weiner offers perspectives on the meaning of art in addition to his own working philosophy. Also discussed is Weiner's recent work "Traces/Tracce"; works presented in book form where each page has a word in Italian at the top and English equivalent at the bottom. The last works talked about are two LP recordings; "7" and one recorded by the Sperone gallery in Italy, "Having Been Done At/Having Been Done To/Essendo Stato Fatto A".
