Description
Recorded on October 29, 1987 as part of the San Francisco Exploratorium’s Speaking of Music series, Charles Amirkhanian interviews percussionist David Van Tieghem about his life and musical influences. A video is shown of Van Tieghem playing a variety of percussion instruments followed by a live demonstration of all his various percussion instruments and playing techniques. The program concludes with a collaboration between Van Tieghem and video artist John Sanborn.
