Description
A recording of George Antheil and Michael Dyne's satirical one act opera, “Venus in Africa”. According to the program notes published by G. Schirmer Inc. the opera is a comedy about the visit of two young lovers (Charles and Yvonne) to Tunisia where Charles asks an ancient statue of Venus to teach him about love. This recording is possibly from the May 24, 1957 performance in Denver Colorado.
