Description
This three hour special "Marathon Mornings" program features Charles Amirkhanian interviewing John Adams on the occasion of his fortieth birthday. Along with an in-depth interview about his compositions, collaborators, and work as composer in residence with the San Francisco Symphony under Edo de Waart, Charles and Mr. Adams do some wonderful KPFA subscription plugs. The program features several shorter works, and full presentations of Mr. Adams' recordings with the SF Symphony of "Shaker Loops," "The Chairman Dances" from the opera Nixon in China, and "Harmonielehre."Genres
