A concert given Nov. 18, 1973 by the Ensemble at the Berkeley Piano Club, in Berkeley California. Works include three songs by Charles Shere from a work-in-progress based on texts by Marcel Duchamp; “Valid for Life,” a percussive piece by Beth Anderson; “Breaths,” a spontaneously performed work devised by Howard Moscovitz; and “Dark Night of Resistance,” a cantata by Julian White, using the words of Daniel Berrigan and St. John of the Cross.
