In this composer introduction, the participating artists of the 1991 Composer-to-Composer Festival introduce each other, after having the time to get acquainted and share ideas during the private discussions in the week preceding the concerts.Each composer introduces and provides a short overview of one of their artistic colleagues. Excerpts of musical selections are also played. The admiration and respect the artists have for each other comes out in these discussions which range from endearing to hilarious, and generally inspiring. The line-up of introductions included:
