The third concert of the 1991 Composer-to-Composer Festival held on Saturday, July 13, 1991.John Lifton makes a few announcements then Louis Andriessen talks about the two works we are about tho hear; "de Staat" played by Pianoduo and "Workers Union", performed by Relâche, Pianoduo, and Andriessen.
After a short interval, Pianoduo also perform Alan Hovhaness' "Mihr" followed by "Sonata for Flute Solo" performed by Relâche's Laurell Wyckoff. Hovhaness' "Invocations to Vahakn" is performed by other members of Relâche, John Dulik, on piano, and Helen Carnevale, percussion.
