Description
Ashish Khan (born 1939), a recognized master of the sarod, performs two ragas, accompanied by Alla Rakha, on tabla and Amiya Das Gupta, on tamboura. This performance was recorded in the 1960s when Khan was still a relatively young man. A Grammy award nominee who has performed with Ravi Shankar, George Harrison and Eric Clapton, Khan is currently a professor at Cal Arts and the University of California at Santa Cruz.
