Two works for strings by two contemporary Japanese composers, Yoshirō Irino & Tōru Takemitsu. First is Irino’s “Concerto” for string ensemble, followed by Takemitsu’s “Requiem” for string orchestra performed by the Nippon Philharmonic under the direction of Akeo Watanabe.
