Description
Recorded live at the Hall of Flowers in San Francisco on November 15, 1965, this is the last half of a concert of chamber music sponsored by the San Francisco Chamber Music Society, and featuring performance by a selection of well respected Bay Area based musicians. The program begins with a brief intermission interview with composer David Sheinfeld, a composition of whose was performed during the missing first half of the concert, as well as a short conversation with John Beckman, the then President of the S. F. Chamber Music Society. The musicians then return to the stage to perform Mozart’s “Duo in G Major, K. 423”, for violin and viol, and Claude Debussy’s “Sonata”, flute, viola, and harp.
