Description
After a fairly brief and appropriately poetically abstract introduction, Roy Trumbull plays Bob Dylan’s fifth studio album “Bringing It All Back Home,” in its entirety. This program was recorded on April 17, 1965, just a month after the LP had been released on Columbia Records. Long recognized as the album in which Dylan embraced rock and roll and turned from writing political protest songs to those more personal or allegorical in nature, “Bringing It All Back Home” featured one side of acoustic songs and another where Dylan is backed by an electric band. After playing the entire album, Trumbull concludes the program with a little more of his storytelling and an earlier Dylan masterpiece “One Too Many Mornings” before finishing it all off with a song by Tom Paxton.
