Description
Recorded in 1978, Charles Amirkhanian interviews composer Janice Giteck about her recent European tour with the Port Costa Players in which they performed two of her works of ritual and musical theater, “Thunder like a White Bear Dancing” and “Callin’ Home Coyote”. Giteck discusses the influence that contributed to her work and the way in which they were received in different parts of Europe. Giteck also mentions her work with Berkeley’s Cazadero Music Camp, which during the Summer provides lectures, concerts, and workshops for adults and youth interested in world music.
