Description
Ishmael Wadada Leo Smith, a featured composer of the 2008 Other Minds Festival (OM13), is seen with Kate Stenberg and Rick Shinozaki of the Del Sol String Quartet in the background. Taken during a performance at Djerassi Resident Artists Program, where participants met for a retreat prior to the Festival. The Del Sol Quartet performed Smith’s “Taif: Prayer in the Garden of the Hijaz” in the first concert of that year’s Festival.
