Eve Egoyan, William Winant, & Linda Bouchard (l to r), during a rehearsal of Alan Hovhaness’ “Khaldis” prior to its performance at the 7th Other Minds Music Festival in San Francisco CA, in March of 2001. Pianist Eve Egoyan specializes in the performance of new solo piano works. After studying the traditional repertoire during her education at the University of Victoria, the University of Toronto, and the Royal Academy of Music in London, England, Ms Egoyan became interested in contemporary classical music after attending a number of new music concerts in the 1980s. Largely known as a percussionist, William Winant was born in Los Angeles to a family of accomplished actors and musicians. He studied at Los Angeles City College and Cal Arts before doing advanced studies at York University in Toronto in 1979. He returned to the West Coast to study with composer Lou Harrison at Mills College in Oakland and has performed with the Abel-Steinberg-Winant Trio, and many other ensembles. French-Canadian Linda Bouchard has composed over 50 works for a number of genres, from orchestral and chamber works to dance scores, concerti, and vocal pieces. As a conductor, Ms. Bouchard has led a number of orchestras and ensembles in the U. S. and in Canada.Genres & Subjects
