Charles Amirkhanian, standing on stage and making announcements prior to the start of the third concert of OM 11, at the Yerba Buena Center of the Arts, in San Francisco CA, on February 26, 2005. Charles Amirkhanian is the Executive and Artistic Director of Other Minds, and for over 40 years has been a tireless promoter of New Music and a champion of under recognized composers and performers. He was also a featured composer of the 11th Other Minds Music Festival, with his radiophonic tape piece, “Son of Metropolis San Francisco,” receiving its concert premiere during the second night of OM 11.
