Portrait of Bernhard Abramowitsch
Description
A portrait of Bernard Abramowitsch, a San Francisco Bay Area based musician during the latter half of the 20th century. With his daughter, soprano Miriam Abramowitsch, Bernhard was a regular performer on KPFA. Engaging interpreters of contemporary classical music, the duo were featured performers during the 1970 concert at Hertz Hall in Berkeley CA., in which the music of George Antheil was reintroduced to American audiences, thanks in no small part to Charles Amirkhanian.
