Anthony Gnazzo eating a fig, while standing in the backyard of his Oakland home in 1982.Anthony Gnazzo, born in 1936 in Connecticut, received his education at Hartt College of Music and at Brandeis University. In addition to being a composer, Gnazzo is also well known as a designer and builder of electronic music studios, having been associated with the University of Toronto, Simon Fraser University, Mills College, U. C. Berkeley, and other schools. A composer of numerous works of electronic music, text-sound compositions, Gnazzo delighted KPFA listeners with a series of hilarious programs throughout the 1970s and 80s.
