Swedish composer Åke Parmerud was born in 1953, and has been composing since his early twenties. Educated at the Gothenburg Music Conservatory, Parmerud has written for multi-media, video, film, dance,and the theater, as well as more typical instrumental ensembles. However he is perhaps best known for his electro-acoustic compositions which have won numerous festival prizes and been recorded for a variety of labels. A member of the Royal Academy of Music since 1998, Parmerud is also a teacher of composition and computer music.

Renate Hoffleit is a visual artist and partner of OM 13 composer, Michael Bach, with whom she frequently collaborates on projects.
