Description
The 12th International Sound Poetry Festival was held at the Washington Square Church in New York City in April 1980. Organized by Charlie Morrow and Sten Hanson, the Festival included performances by such well known composers and poets as Jerome Rothenberg, Adriano Spatola, Charles Amirkhanian, Beth Anderson, Bernard Heidsieck, John Giorno, and Jackson Mac Low. In this program you will hear selections from the Festival, that range from traditional modern poetry, to performance poetry, phonetic poetry, concrete poetry, tape and spoken word compositions, and narratives with instrumental accompaniment.
