Description

A half length portrait of Charles Amirkhanian and William Winant at a podium in the Mission Dolores Basilica during the 22nd Other Minds Festival. Winant is receiving his "OMIE" award of vintage auto horns from Fresno, CA that Amirkhanian (holding the panel) assembled and used for his early percussion work. Every year since OM 19, an OMIE award has been presented to a pioneering artist in the field of American new music. Taken during Concert 1: Pacific Rim Centennials on February 18, 2017. OM 22 was a centennial tribute to American composer Lou Harrison.
