Description
Charles Amirkhanian plays a number of works by Canadian composers, many of whom were to be highlighted during the New Music America Festival to be held in Montreal, Canada in 1990. To get more information about this event Charles interviews composer and Festival director, Jean Piché over the phone. In the second half of the program Charles talks to Peter Garland and John Luther Adams who have both incorporated their interest in Native American cultures into their music, of which we hear a selection.
