Description
A brief out-take from a 1974 interview with composer Vivian Fine, in which she describes for Charles Amirkhanian several pieces that she was due to perform at a San Francisco Bay Area concert in March of 1974. Fine talks about favorite piano works by Alexander Scriabin, Charles Ives, and Henry Cowell, among others. Fine also describes the precise instrumentation for her “Concerto,” for piano, strings, and percussion, which she was due to perform by herself, as well as the upcoming premiere of her “Movement” for solo flute.
