Description
An electro-acoustic, text-sound, realization by Terry Goodman and Edward Hammond, using as its core material a recording of a press conference held by KPFK General Manager Will Lewis in response to a search of KPFK by the Los Angeles Police Department, in October of 1974. This nearly 8 minute composition includes electronic sounds and ambient recordings, probably of whale songs, mixed with selections from Lewis’ press conference in which he discusses the Los Angeles Police Department’s attempts to obtain a communiqué claiming responsibility for the bombing of the Sheraton Airport Hotel on October 5, 1980, that was received by the radio station and read over the air.
