Description

A special program of music from 78 rpm records issued by New Music Quarterly Recordings in the 1930s and 40s by Henry Cowell. These recordings were released by subscription by Cowell with, according to musicologist Nicolas Slonimsky, financial assistance from Charles Ives. Heard here are recordings from the original 12 inch discs featuring works by American and Cuban composers.
