Description
Here is a 1984 recording of SONOR Ensemble performing a concert of new music by Roger Reynolds, Bernard Rands, and Robert Erickson. SONOR served as UCSD’s resident contemporary music ensemble between 1977 and 2006. The ensemble is here conducted by Jean-Charles François for Reynolds’s Archipelago (1983) and John Silber for Erickson’s Taffytime (1983). Bernard Rands’s Canti del Sole (1983) is conducted by the composer and features tenor Paul Sperry.
