Description
A recording of a concert by the Pacifica Chamber Players given at the Berkeley Piano Club on January 16, 1972. The program features chamber works composed over the past three centuries, beginning with Mendelssohn’s ‘Piano Sextet in D Major” and Mozart’s “Oboe Quartet in F Major.” These are followed by three 20th century works, a short piece for piano four hands by Ricklen Nobis, Paul Juon’s “Divertimento” for clarinet and two violas, and finally a Quintet by Sergey Prokofiev. The Pacifica Chamber Players was a local San Francisco Bay Area Ensemble that performed regularly on KPFA during the 1970s.
