Description
Recorded sometime after 1982, Russ Jenning hosts a program in which French electronic music composer Marc Battier presents a selection of European electronic and musique concrète works from the latter half of the 20th century. From this segment of the program we hear Francois Bayle’s “Jeita”; Battier’s own 30 minute composition “Le Monde de Kiyoshi Takahashi”; and an excerpt of Luciano Berio’s “Chants Parallèles.” These are all highly listenable, occasionally trance inducing works typical of the type of pieces being produced in the great European electronic music studios in the 1970s and 80s.
