Description
English composer Michael Nyman performs his piano accompaniment to the silent film “Manhatta” (Paul Strand, 1920). Nyman first came to prominence as a minimalist composer in the 1970s. He has also composed the music for several films by Peter Greenaway. This was his first appearance in San Francisco since 1994.
