Description
On February 12, 1988, KPFA dedicated an entire day to take a closer look at the music and career of one of the most influential composer/performers of the 1980s, Brian Eno. The composer joins Charles Amirkhanian in the studios of KPFA to assist in hosting a day of his music beginning with an Ode to Gravity two hour special recorded on February 1980. After that introductory look at Eno’s productions and those which influenced him during his English adolescence, we hear from Eno himself about his latest productions, both as a musician and as a visual artist. A relatively complete presentation of his work as composer, performer and producer follows, along with his discussion of his series of video installation productions which have been presented at art exhibitions in many European countries.
