Description
Other Minds Festival 7 was held at the Cowell Theater at Fort Mason Center in San Francisco from March 8th through the 10th, 2001. The festival also held a special program honoring "Ezra Pound and his Music" at George Coates Performance Works on March 10th. Featured artists included Chris Brown, Gavin Bryars, Alvin Curran, Andrew Hill, Hi Kyung Kim, James Tenney, Glen Velez, Aleksandra Vrebalov, and percussionist William Winant. As in the past, the guest composers spent the week prior to the festival in a four-day retreat in the inspiring landscape of the Djerassi Resident Artists Program. This time at the 700-acre ranch in the Santa Cruz Mountains provided a time for the composers to make or renew contact and share music and discussion free from the usual public foray.Other Minds Ensemble (has as performing group)
