Description
Charles Amirkhanian (right) looks on as Charles Dodge points out something on a musical score at the composer’s home in New York City, in 1975. Dodge, who studied music with Darius Milhaud and Gunther Schuller, is perhaps best known as an electronic music composer who specializes in working with synthesized computer speech. Dodge received his MA and Doctorate degrees from Columbia University where he also taught in the 1970s. Later he went on to found the Center for Computer Music in New York, and to teach at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire.
