Description
Sped up host Sparky, presents an indelible admixture of organ music, jazz, and sound poetry. First heard is “Liberation Waltz” by the Berkeley, California composer Chip Weitzner, whose material was often accredited as emanating from the Felicity Facility. This is followed by a selection of musical settings by David Durrah and his jazz band poems based on texts by Edward Mycue. The program then concludes with two word-tape pieces by Selrahc Nimajneb Nainahkrima, (a.k.a. Charles Benjamin Amirkhanian). The pace may seem hyper kinetic at times but it is worth catching up with.
