TWO FRENCH TRITONE DOMINANTS: I. BERLIOZ (Philip Corner)
Semi-improvised structures based on the repetition of two chords, with a constant rythmic-dynamic "feel" appropriate to the material derived from each composer (Wild for Berlioz, White for Satie). Performed by Relâche and the composer at the piano.
This concert was held at the Port of History Museum, on October 10, 1987. The recording was provided to Other Minds by Joseph Franklin who directed the 1987 New Music America Festival, and Werner Strobel who digitized the original tape recordings.
